Here’s a selected list of some must-visit festivals and fairs happening in the area:


Date: September 28, 2024

Location: Main Street, Weaverville, NC

Just 7 miles north of Asheville and with 100 artists showcasing their work, this outdoor festival can’t be missed. There is something for everyone at this event - in addition to arts and crafts, there is live music and food vendors​.


Dates: October 5, 12, 19, 2024

Location: Pack Square Park, Downtown Asheville

Held over three consecutive Saturdays in the heart of downtown, this market brings you face to face with many local artists. 


Dates: October 12, 2024

Location: River Arts District, Asheville

Get a behind-the-scenes look at local creators as you explore over 200 artist studios in the vibrant River Arts District. Meet artists, see live demos, and purchase unique pieces all in one day​.


Dates: October 17-20, 2024

Location: Harrah’s Cherokee Center, Downtown Asheville

This celebrated event showcases a wide array of fine craftsmanship from the Southern Highland Craft Guild. Featuring over 200 artisans, you’ll find everything from pottery to fiber arts, jewelry, and woodwork, showcasing the diversity and quality of this region’s crafts.

Location: Maggie Valley Festival Grounds

Just outside of Asheville, this show gathers over 100 artisans from across the Southeast. It’s a great place to discover unique handmade goods, from ceramics to textiles.


Dates: October 24-27, 2024

Location: Black Mountain, NC

Just a hop, skip, and a jump outside of Asheville, this festival celebrates art, music, and global cultures in the picturesque lakeside setting of Lake Eden. LEAF Festival features a variety of performance stages, a family adventure village, handcraft and folk art vendors, culinary artists, and so much more.
